Victoria Luperi

Associate Principal/E-Flat Clarinet of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra

Luperi’s early teacher’s include Oscar Gieco, Richard Hawkins and Yehuda Gilad. For her education she attended The Curtis Institute of Music and studied with Donald Montanaro. Her orchestral career includes the Fort Worth Symphony, Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, Grand Teton, Tanglewood, Verbier, and Mainly Mozart Festivals. She is currently is the Associate Principal/E-flat Clarinet of the Pittsburgh Symphony orchestra since 2016. Luperi is also an active soloist and chamber musician. Luperi premiered “Fantasía sobre Yma Sumac,” a piece for solo clarinet and orchestra written for her by John B Hedges. In addition, she’s performed as a soloist with Madison Symphony, Signature Symphony in Tulsa, Debut Orchestra (Los Angeles), Philharmonia of Kansas City, Córdoba Symphony, Córdoba Chamber Orchestra, and the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra.
