CBC Souses Heineken Performing Arts Scholarship
The CBC Spouses Heineken USA Performing Arts Scholarship is for full-time students with majors in the performing arts including, but not limited to, drama, music, dance, opera, marching bands, and other musical ensembles. Applicants must be currently/planning to be enrolled in the upcoming academic year as a full-time African American undergraduate student with a minimum 2.5 GPA.

College Bound Program
In 2001, Sphinx joined forces with the League of American Orchestras to execute and oversee its Music Assistance Fund for classical musicians of color. Now called the College-Bound Program, this program is designed to help aspiring musicians develop their skills as they prepare for professional careers. In addition to educational funds, all Sphinx Competition semi-finalists and alumni receive access to undergraduate and graduate scholarships through this program.

CSUB Channing & Kullijian Arts Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Carol Channing and Harry Kullijian to support creative visual and performing arts students and candidates for teacher credentials in art education. The American Foundation for the Blind removes barriers, creates solutions, and expands possibilities so people with vision loss can achieve their full potential. All applicants must be U.S. citizens or naturalized citizens. All applications must include the following items, without exception:

-Official transcripts
-Two letters of recommendation
-Proof of legal blindness
The Gladys C. Anderson Memorial Scholarship is for a female undergraduate or graduate student studying classical or religious music. In addition to the general requirements, Anderson applicants must submit a music performance on CD with their supporting documents.

The Glenn Miller Birthplace Society Music Scholarship
Since 1977, the Glenn Miller Birthplace Society has honored the music and memory of legendary band leader Glenn Miller by sponsoring an annual scholarship competition open to high school seniors and college freshmen. Students from across the country have competed in and benefited from this competition. The competition is divided into two categories, instrumental and vocalists. The finalists travel to Clarinda, Iowa to compete at the annual Glenn Miller Festival. Three winners are selected from each category. The Glenn Miller Society awards a total of $12,000 in scholarships each year. Scholarships are awarded without regard to any other award, and may be used for any education-related expense.
The Jay Franke Scholarship
The mission of Diabetes Scholars Foundation is to support activities related to education for and about children with diabetes. This includes but is not limited to funding scholarships for diabetes education conferences and higher education. Sponsored by the Diabetes Scholars Foundation, The Jay Franke Scholarship awards two $5,000 scholarships to incoming freshmen with Type 1 diabetes and pursuing an arts degree (music, theatre, dance).

Nellie Love Butcher Music Scholarship
The Nellie Love Butcher Music Scholarship is awarded annually to a student who is pursuing an education in piano or voice. Special consideration is given to students currently attending the Duke Ellington School of the Performing Arts, Washington, DC. A performance CD must be submitted with the application. Recipients may reapply for consideration each year, for four years based on maintaining a 3.0 GPA.

The Young Musicians Foundation provides access to exceptional musical education and experiences that strengthen communities through social, cultural and intellectual engagement. Music scholarships featured on their website include Leiber & Stoller Music Scholarship, Uan Rasey Memorial Scholarship for Trumpet, and the David Weiss Scholarship Program.
