Regina Harris Baiocchi

Regina Harris Baiocchi was born on July 16, 1956 in Chicago Illinois. Baiocchi earned a Bachelor of Music from Roosevelt University in 1978. Baiocchi also attended the Illinois Institute of Technology, Northwest University, and New York University from which she received a Certificate in Public Relations. Baiocchi received her Masters in Music from DePaul University in 1995. Baiocchi’s works have been performed by the Detroit and Chicago Symphonies, The US Army Band, Festival Incontri Musicali di Musica Sacra, and the Women Composers' Library.
Baiocchi is also an author and has penned works on Artists of Color, Spirituals, Jazz, Gospels, Blues, Hip-Hop, Poetry, and Women. She is published by Oxford University, Third World, Facts on File, Chicago Tribune Magazine, and the National Writer’s Union. Baiocchi is also the founder of Haiku Festival, a celebration of children and literacy.
