Denise Tryon
Associate Professor of Horn at Cincinnati Conservatory of Music
Denise Tryon is a native of Roseville Minnesota. Tryon graduated from the New England Conservatory of music in 1993 with a Bachelor of Music. In 1995 Tryon joined the New World Symphony, where she stayed till 1998 when she moved to the Columbus Symphony. In 2000 Tryon won a job with the Baltimore Symphony and then moved to the Detroit Symphony in 2003. Tryon stayed with the Detroit Symphony for six years before she won a job as fourth horn of the Philadelphia Orchestra in 2009.
Tryon is also a gifted teacher and was Horn Professor at the Peabody Conservatory from 2007 till this year as she will be moving to teach at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Tryon has taught masterclasses all over the world.
In 2015 Tryon released her debut album, entitle SO-LOW. Tryon is also the founder of the Audition Mode horn seminar. Tryon has been the featured artist at several International Horn Society Conventions
